I must agree... there is a major overflow of cc shards compared to what they can be used for... they should have thought that out a little better.. or not have them drop for the entire wintersday festival.. something.

Alright, I'm a little confused as to how to get some of these hats and I'd really like the two from Kamadan. Let me see if I got this right: All I have to do to get a hat is go talk to someone and stand in a circle? If so, who do I have to talk to? I'm quite confused right now, so if someone could help me out I'd be much obliged.

There has been talk of how to get hats, but some of the explanations are either misleading or poorly explained. Can someone give a easy simpleton explanation of what to do so an idiot like me can understand? Thanks.

go to the respective districts for the hat you want before the avatar appears, then wait on the ring. doesnt need to have shards on you, but shards would let you vote for the avatar. wait until the rounds are over, and you'll get a hat. then presents start dropping.

try to be in one of any rings.

If the dis you are in was created after the start of the event you will not get avatars to visit you.

You don't even have to be in the district when the event starts. I got a LA hat, zoned to Kamadan for another and then found a french district in Kamadan where the event was just finishing and managed to get a hat there too, right after I zoned in and ran to the circle.

Yea. You can definately hit all the hats in time if you get in a low LA district early. Cuz then you just bounce to a high LA district get the second hat then bounce to Kamadan since they start 15 minutes after LA then bounce to another Kamadan district to grab the last hat.

I disagree. I got a total of 27 shards and played during most of the event. Difference is, I didn't farm for shards or any other Wintersday item.

This would have been enough for 3 cc weapons, but I used them for the Dwayna vs. Grenth games, and gave away about half of them to people who needed them. Still have about 40 leftover, due to good luck I guess.

So I have absolutely no sympathy for farmers who are now sitting on piles of cc shards. You pays your money and you takes your chances.

To clear things up:
-You do not need to stand in the rings to recieve a hat.
-You do not need candy cane shards to recieve a hat.
-To recieve a hat all you need to do is be at that district when the avatars give out the hats.
-The hat of the winning diety is given out. Who's rings you stood in doesn't affect what hat you recieve.
(I have all 4 hats, and only participated in the 9-rings game twice)

I hope this clears things up a little.

Whilst I didn't farm then, I did play alot of snowball to get them. I'm pretty peeved at this aswell.

It dropped because the player's inventory was full..they probably have 6 hats in their inventory if they were AFK all day since midnight. The dropped one making 7.
